Our Child Care Meal Schedule

Part of our child care program includes three full meals and two snacks throughout the day. Our day care follows the meal schedule below:

  • Breakfast at 7:30 am
  • Snack at 9:30 am
  • Lunch at 11:30 am
  • Snack at 2:00 pm
  • Dinner at 4:30 pm

Not only will your children eat healthy while staying at our day care center, but they will also learn proper table manners. This includes how to use utensils (forks and spoons) and learning socializing skills during meal time. Socializing is a major part of meal time. At our Santa Clara day care center, children can learn new skills from others and engage in table conversation among their peers.

If your child has any allergies or restrictions, please let us know, we will ensure they are not served anything that could cause them to become ill.

Our day care center serves 1% milk, as is recommended by the 4C (Community Child Care Council). Infants are given either formula or breast milk, at their parents' preference.

Benefits of Healthy Eating at Our Child Care Center

There are many benefits that come from eating nutritious meals. It is especially important that young children eat healthy food on a regular basis, which is why our day care center sticks to our meal schedule; we provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks depending on your child's needs and schedule. Here are a few of the benefits of a nutritious diet for your child:

  • Energy: Consuming a nutritious selection of foods can help your children stay active and alert throughout the day. This helps them engage more thoughtfully with the world around them and remain focused when necessary.
  • Stabilize Mood: As we all know, a hungry child is a cranky child! Making sure that nutritious snacks are available helps curb hunger between meals and develop a mindful approach to eating.
  • Healthy Growth: When we consider long-term goals, a healthy diet can help your child develop strong bones, muscles, eyes, and teeth.
  • Develop a Positive Relationship With Food: Eating healthy at a young age can directly impact how you eat later in life. Developing good habits now can help your child build a healthy relationship with food that will last into adulthood.

Our child care center focuses on a well-balanced diet that tastes great and provides adequate nutrition to give your child the energy he or she needs to get through the day. Please contact our child care center for more information.
